Why Seattle? It is so far from my "house".
One reason people attend conferences is to get revitalized, refreshed and inspired. There
can be no more inspiring a location in the USA than Seattle. A city where billionaires wear
kakies and sweaters, visionaries create coffee empires and the impossible becomes just a normal
part of life. Everyone can get a fresh look at life, be inspired and return home ready to
accomplish the impossible.

About Seattle
Seattle is a breathtakingly beautiful city surrounded by water. Every where, the backdrop
is water. Seattle's vigorous maritime heritage began when the Klondike Gold Rush established
it as a major Pacific port in the 1890's. Seattle is a leading center for advanced technology
in aerospace, computer software, bioinformatics, genomics, environmental engineering and on
and on. Home to Eddie Bauer, Nintendo, Starbucks, Amazon.com, RealNetworks and Microsoft, the
city's aura exudes the feeling of "can do" and entrepreneurship. Seattle's mild winters and
cool summers make it ideal for year round outdoor activities of all kinds. In addition to being
situated on the shores of two lakes and Puget Sound the city is flanked by two major mountain
ranges, a wilderness area an hour away and majestic Mount Rainier is in full view. Come,
join us and gain a new perspective on life itself.

The difference between ordinary and amazing is where it happens.
Although the information we currently have indicates that you will not need a passport to participate in the post-conference cruise, we are encouraging all participants to consider obtaining a passport anyway. You will want to start that process soon. Passport applications may be obtained from your local post office. Please see the following article for more information:
In June, the federal government postponed the need for passport due to a backlog in processing. But now, the State Department says that passport processing has returned to the standard six to eight weeks for routine passport applications, and no more than three weeks for expedited service.
"To date, we have issued over 16 million passports in fiscal year 2007, which ends on Sept. 30, compared to 12.1 million issued in fiscal year 2006," the agency reported last month.
